We have know idea who Harry is, but it came with the used spinnaker we bought before we left. We coincidently named our other spinnaker Johnson. Last comment 11/18/08.

Dousing the spinnaker before a squall up ahead. The tube is a spinnaker sock which will encapsulate the spinnaker at a moment's notice making it really easy to handle these monster sails. Last comment 11/18/08.

High seas with The Whatever. We amazingly kept up with them even though we are almost half there size. We were in radio contact for the entire trip and about half-way across, they invited us over for ice cream. Last comment 11/18/08.

So of course, we sailed a day out of our way to meet up with them, literally thousands of miles from nowhere. Last comment 11/18/08.

It never struck us how stupid it was to sail up along side a steel monstrosity until we actually did it. Luckily, our agile pony had no problems sailing circles around them. Last comment 11/18/08.

Dancyn from Whatever's view. We were working hard to get up close enough for ICE CREAM. Lucky dawgs had a freezer while us poor saps wilted away in our hot box. Last comment 11/18/08.

We put on our pirate costumes and substituted spatulas for swords. Hey, what else is one to do with weeks of open ocean in a 32-foot sailboat with only one other person to talk to? Last comment 11/18/08.

Skipjack tuna. One of the many fishies that ended up in our pot. After John manhandled 'em, Heather cooked it up in her pot. Tuna melts, tuna soup, tuna sushi, tuna omelettes, tuna shishkebabs...... Last comment 11/18/08.

Even though John was disappointed with such easy action, the lil guys were perfect one-meal fishes. Last comment 11/18/08.

Just another snotty day at sea. There was no lack of wind on this trip. Most days we just hid our heads under our pillows and let the boat sail itself, but occassionaly we had to get out in the thick of it. Last comment 11/18/08.

JR expanding his knowledge on poor American policy with Howard Zinn. One of the few calmer days that we were able to fly the spinnaker without getting too sloshed around. Last comment 11/18/08.

The daybreak would reveal many sacrificial fishes on deck, mostly squid and small flying fish. This is a less common deep-water Lantern fish. Last comment 11/18/08.

About half-way across, we blew out the mainsail and spent a good 8 hours mending it. Despite all the sailing, Heather was nauseous the entire time. (In fact, I was nauseous just about the whole trip. I don't think I whined too much, although JR could probably paint a different picture.) Last comment 11/18/08.
